Crafting Spaces
I've gotten some questions about my own personal crafting space. So for
a small change of pace, I thought I'd share some pictures of the room
where I do my own creating. You don't need a large room like this
though, so take some of the storage and organization ideas and apply
them to your space!
This is a view from the entry. Cabinets line the right side
of the
wall, topped by 14 feet of counter space - prime real estate for
working
on projects!
Straight ahead is my daughter's desk for doing homework and important
coloring projects.
A closer view of the cabinets. I left a space in between the cabinets
for some paper storage - to keep the 12x12 papers close at hand. The
railing system came from IKEA and makes a great place to hold punches,
wheels and other tools.
The white craft keeper came from a local craft supply store and I use
it to hold all of my ink pads and ribbons. Unmounted stamps can be
found in the DVD storage box on the right.
All of my mounted stamps are in the cabinets, just in case you were
wondering where they were. Yes, there are
that many!
Working space, with a shelf full of bins and DVD holders (from IKEA). A
row of magazine holders organizes many, many sources of inspiration!
The big cozy pillow on the floor is where my daughter likes to get
comfortable to watch television.
Another view of the work space (including my "day job" desk) with a
television and plenty of chick-flicks and animated movies for good
background noise.
I rarely turn on the television during the day, though, as I have a
hard time concentrating when there's a lot of noise.
A view from the other side of the room, more counter space and my
drafting desk where I color images and do close-up work.
I hope you've enjoyed this little peek into my crafting world! May you
find inspiration in your own happy place!
